Estimating how much your candidates are worth

Estimating how much your candidates are worth

With Jobsket ATS you will quickly obtain an estimation on how much may a candidate want to earn. This estimation can be used to filter quite quickly candidates who may be very expensive due to their experience or may be too junior for a certain role.

How can we do it?

To estimate the value of a candidate at Jobsket ATS we do not apply any magic formulas but we try to imitate the behaviour of any recruiter. As this is not a secret, we normally share our valuation algorithm with everybody.

Our Semantic Engine allows us to know the main skills and roles linked to any CV. That information is matched against a database of salaries that we collect in real-time and that change depending on the locations. These salary statistics allow us to obtain an initial estimation.

That initial estimation is later weighted with the experience of the candidate giving us a higher or lower valuation depending on weather we are dealing with a senior or junior profile. The candidate can also influence its valuation to some extent by declaring what is his or her desired salary and by entering his or her salary history into the system.

So, in summary, we try to automate a traditional and simple valuation algorithm to allow us to agilize some tasks and to do an initial filtering. Always keeping in mind that this is just an estimation and as such it can be misleading to some degree. So we always recommend to use valuations to do a quick and initial filtering but keep a much closer eye to the CV on later stages of the recruitment process.
